About us

My name is Maxime. I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been very active on social media in this field. In 2025, my team and I created Gomawild.

The idea came from my work with animals and my desire to go beyond social media. After being invited by wildlife reserves in South Africa, I discovered an incredible world where many people are working hard to protect animals, especially endangered species. I quickly realized that these reserves, rehabilitation centers, and even some conservation focused safaris lacked visibility and therefore funding to continue their work.

We were deeply moved by the effort they put in and the limited recognition they received. So, it felt natural to offer our help, to give them more visibility and share their work with a wider audience. Today, the reserves we work with are a true part of the Gomawild family.

Over time, Gomawild has grown: cameramen filming the work of volunteers directly in the reserves, web developers, graphic designers, and more.

Today, Gomawild has built a strong presence on social media and brings together around twenty passionate people doing everything they can to protect animals and support conservation projects.

We’ve built real relationships with our partners:

  • Chriszanne and her family at Felidae, who rescue lions and big cats
  • Alma and Wessel from the Chayah Kalahari Project, who reintroduce meerkats into the Kalahari Desert
  • Robert from Pondoro Game Lodge, who offers ethical safaris and works closely with anti-poaching ranger teams
  • Sean, who studies elephants, their environment, and their interactions with humans through
  • Berndt, who promotes human-wildlife coexistence through the Naturally Neighbors Initiative

Our goal goes beyond supporting their individual conservation projects in South Africa. We aim to build strong, lasting relationships and create one big family united by the same mission: helping animals. That’s what we work toward every single day.

This project takes time, but it’s absolutely worth it. And it’s also possible thanks to you.

We’re counting on you for what comes next!
